GoGo Journey — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026
Applies to: the GoGo Journey iOS app.

Our promise

GoGo Journey is built for children and the grown-ups who travel with them, and we designed it to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what we do and do not do with information. The short version: we do not collect personal information about your child, we show no ads, and there is no chat or social sharing.

Who this app is for

GoGo Journey is a parent-controlled, child-facing travel companion intended for families with children roughly ages 3 to 10. Parents and caregivers set up trips; children use a simple, safe journey screen. The app does not create child accounts and does not ask children for any personal information.

Information we do NOT collect

Information the app uses on your device

To make the app work, a small amount of information is kept only on your device and is never sent to us:

None of this identifies your child, and none of it leaves your device.

Location (Car Mode only)

In Car Mode, and only if you allow it, GoGo Journey uses your device's location while a trip is active to show how far along the journey is and to offer facts about where you are. We request "When In Use" access only.

The app works offline

All of the fun facts, prompts, and games are built into the app, so GoGo Journey works with no internet connection (for example, on an airplane). Because the app does not need to talk to a server to run, there is no routine transmission of information from the app.

No third-party advertising or analytics

The child-facing experience contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking technologies. We do not allow advertisers to target your child, and we do not share information with data brokers.

Parental controls

A parental gate protects everything outside the child's screen. Before anyone can reach settings, change or enter a destination, make a purchase, or open any link outside the child experience, the app asks a simple question intended for a grown-up. The child screen itself contains no external links, no purchase buttons, and no ads.

Children's privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, and similar laws)

We designed GoGo Journey to align with children's privacy laws such as the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the "children's" provisions of the EU/UK GDPR. Because we do not collect personal information from children, we do not knowingly gather data that would require verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

Trip information exists only for the active trip and is deleted when the trip ends. Preferences remain on your device until you change them or delete the app. Deleting the app removes this information from your device. Because we do not collect personal information on our servers, there is nothing about your child for us to retain or delete on our side.

Security

Since information stays on your device, your device's own protections (such as a passcode and iOS security) are the primary safeguards. We keep the app's data footprint intentionally small to reduce risk.

Purchases

GoGo Journey offers one optional paid upgrade, GoGo Journey Plus, available as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. The purchase screen can only be reached from the parent settings area, behind the parental gate, and no purchase buttons, prices, or upgrade prompts ever appear on the child's screen. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled anytime in your Apple Account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, note the change in the app or on our website.
